Catching up, Again!

Since I am obviously not much of a Blogger here is a

small taste of how we are doing.

Movie Night!

The St. George Ironman in May. This was the good part of the day...

After an awesome swim, 15 miles into the bike, it became really depressing.

Needless to say if you drop your water bottle in the middle of the race don't stop suddenly to pick it up- the person behind you might run into you. Dana swerved to miss the guy, but clipped him and went over. He had a four degree separation in his shoulder and had to have surgery. PT is going well and he is getting his range of motion back. Go Dana!

We went to Philmont Scout Camp this summer! It really was an amazing experience!

We had a special treat and got to hang with the Hatch family from Holbrook while we were there. They are Awesome!

Another treat was a visit from our Favorite Holbrook Grandparents, The Webb's!

We truly miss them, it was so good to see them!

And lastly, not to bore you too much longer, school started.

Joseph is now a big 6th grader and goes to Middle School. This is one great kid! He is now in 11 year old scouts and working hard. He is helping around the house a lot and I couldn't be more happy with him!

Ammon is now in 4th grade and Mason in 2nd.

These are super good boys. Ammon is getting good at the piano and loves to be outside catching random little creatures. Mason learned to ride a bike at the beginning of the summer (poor guy, we never taught him before now) and is tough a nails.

And James is in half day Kindergarten! Yeah hoo! Poor kid, he really would like full day, he is itching to learn. The other morning (waiting for Kindergarten time) he counted to 1,000!

He likes to read too, and play games and the wii. He also just learned to ride a bike on the first day of Kindergarten!

Let the punishment fit the crime...

Since when are punishments supposed to be fun?! Aaron's brothers left their homework pencils down and he decided to do a little writing of his own....ALL over the walls. Luckily it came of pretty easily. I think he had more fun cleaning up his mess than making it.

I am sure that will change.

At least it wasn't marker like we dealt with in the carpet several months ago!

Kids! It's a good thing they are cute.

The Great Flood

What did Noah learn from the great Flood? Probably more than he wanted...WE learned to blow out our sprinklers before it freezes!

Having pumped out more than 200 gallons of water from the basement and an instant week long slumber party in my living room with four bouncing boys, I have learned way more than I wanted too!

Unfortunately in the mass confusion that ensued when we stepped in the door from Church yesterday, it slipped my mind to pull out the camera. So our memories of walking in 3 inch deep water will have to be treasured in our minds. Too bad, you might have enjoyed it!

Thank goodness for great neighbors and friends and family! We will just be blowing a lot of air for a week or so!

Happy New Year!

Yes...we are still alive!

Hello friends. Do you remember the Carwins? Well I think I might be ready to actually begin posting blogs again! We have had a very busy year. Dana was transferred to Broomfield, CO and we have been here since about mid June. It was so hard to leave Holbrook, we loved it there, and miss all of our friends. We are getting settled into life in Colorado and really love it here, especially our new home! The kids are still making friends and we are adjusting well.

There is too much for me to catch up on so I will just try to post as life moves forward. Here are a couple pictures.

Introducing Aaron Hinckley Carwin

We would like you to meet Aaron Hinckley Carwin!

Aaron is now four months old and a joy to have around! We have not had a computer in so long, and now that we do I will be playing catch up.

Aaron was born July 28th 2009. He was 8 lbs 9 ozs. He is by far my best sleeper, and that is a wonderful gift. His big brothers and sister can't give him enough hugs and kisses. We all love him so much! So here are some pictures of Aaron starting now and going back to his birth.

This is when we went to Colorado for my brother Dave (above, with his wife Lisel). Dana had the opportunity to ordain him a High Priest when he was put into the bishopric in his ward. Since we were there and close to Dana's family, Dana also got to give his parents (below) blessings (his dad was going in for surgery for his cancer) and we blessed Aaron too! It was a quick unexpected weekend, but it was wonderful!

We are Back!

The long journey has ended (life without a computer) and as the months have rolled by a lot has happened in our lives. Rather than bore you with details I went through my pictures and picked one for each special event, and a few random cute ones. I will just caption them and hopefully that will catch us up, until I blog again!

I could not resist this one, I am in the room with the gate on the treadmill. Vilate wanted me really bad. So she cried for the last few minutes of my workout, and then stopped, when I finished, this is how I found her.

Joseph's (and Dad's) first pinewood derby car. This was a good learning experience for everyone, Joseph had a good time.
For Spring break we went to Vegas to visit my sister Kaelynn and her husband Royce and kids. Here is the cutest picture of our ten kids! Easter this year fell on Ammon's birthday, this egg was made special for him with happy birthday wishes.

We had our basket find right before church, here they are with all the goods.

Happy 7th Birthday Ammon! April 12th 2009

Joseph was the pirate black beard in his school play, this was a major part and he was one of the only third graders to score such a role, most were in fifth grade. Great job!

Vilate got a new bed! It was so cute to see her so excited! She loves it.

Yea! Joseph earned his wolf badge along with many other things!

Dana suprised me with these beautiful floweres for mother's day, I had to post them they were so beautiful. What a sweet guy!

About a week later, they are on their way out, but look how pretty Vilate is!

Ammon earned the Trustworthiness award for the first grade! Go Ammon!

Mason graduated from preschool! He was awesome as usual in his final performance they put on. One mom confessed that she watched Mason more than her own son cause he was so fun to watch! He really did steal the show. I don't think I have one shy child, they are performers!

Joseph got the presidential fitness award, he was so excited.

The last week of May right after school we went to Colorado to see Dana's parents and had a great time. Here are a couple pictures of us hiking. My brother Dave and his wife Lisel and their kids came too, it was way fun!

Go Grandma and Grandpa, they are good sports to go on adventures with us.

In June we stayed with Jason and Andrea (Dana's brother) and their kids for a weekend. We went to BYU Campus and showed the kids around. Here we are in the Bean Museum.

And of course you gotta love Brother Brigham!

This was taken in the Joseph Smith Building. We were showing the kids the Joseph Smith statue. And yes, for those who didn't know I am huge and pregnant, hopefully not for long! Notice the cool BYU hats and shirts, oh yeah!

Vilate turned two on June 18, 2009! She was singing Happy Birthday to me all day long, it was so so cute! And here she is saying ''Cheese"! And here are the studly tri guys! Dana and Jason. It was Dana's first Olympic triathlon and open water swim. He did an awesome job!

And sorry for the blurry picture but I was lucky to get it, he would fly by so fast! Go Dana go!

Our next birthday boy. Joseph hit the big 9 year mark on June 25th 2009! He is such a sweet kid.

Ah, Technology....

Or lack of! As many of you may have noticed the Carwin blog has been neglected for a few months. I have been busy, but that is not my excuse. It is amazing how easy and simple life is when you have access to a computer in your home, but when that computer passes on from this life, the world of the internet seems to pass on with it! So until I am able to secure a new computer my blogging days are on hold. I have missed reading everyone elses and look forward to the day when I can get on the internet without a library card and unsupervised kids tearing up local public property....speaking of....I better go!
